Acceptable Use Policy
Use doc2mcp to make documentation more useful to AI agents. Do not use it to harm others or circumvent third-party rights.
You may
- Convert publicly accessible documentation sites (LangChain, Stripe, your own, etc.) into MCP servers.
- Build paid products on top of doc2mcp-hosted MCPs.
- Share project tokens with teammates and clients — they are read-only and project-scoped.
- Crawl your own documentation as often as your plan allows.
You may not
Respect the source
- Crawl documentation that requires authentication, paid access, or that explicitly forbids scraping in its
robots.txtor terms of service. - Bypass rate limits, captchas, or access controls of any source site.
- Crawl personal data (PII), medical records, financial data, or anything regulated as sensitive.
Use the platform responsibly
- Run automated tooling that creates conversions in a tight loop with the intent of overwhelming our or any third-party infrastructure.
- Attempt to access other users' projects, tokens, or data.
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract our prompts or models.
- Resell raw doc2mcp infrastructure as a competing MCP-hosting product.
Don't be a jerk
- Generate, host, or distribute illegal, fraudulent, defamatory, or hateful content.
- Use doc2mcp to build tools that target individuals for harassment.
- Use doc2mcp to facilitate spam, phishing, or malware distribution.
Enforcement
Violations can result in:
- Conversion pipeline rate-limiting
- Project deletion
- Account suspension or termination
- Refusal to refund unused plan credit
We will, in good faith, attempt to reach out before terminating accounts unless the violation is clearly malicious.
